Little Nuns of Paro
Kingdom of Bhutan

Namgay and I sat down with the head nun to talk about how we could support them further. She shared that they still need help with a few important things.
" Urgent: The flooring in their dormitory needs fixing. It leaks and is not healthy for the girls to sleep on.
" Long-term: Their classroom is very old-over 100 years-and it needs a full renovation.
" Extra support: Apermanent clean drinking water supply is also needed.

This project has deeply touched me, and as a woman myself, I feel a strong sense of responsibility to help these young girls and give them a better start in life. We've also begun taking guests to visit the nunnery, it's been a truly unique experience for them, interacting with the little nuns and learning about their lives. Some guests have already reached out with offers to donate and help in small ways.

I truly believe this project has the potential to make a big impact in the lives of these young nuns, and I would love to collaborate with you to make it a reality.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Warm regards,
Kinley

A letter from Namgay's daughter

First, let me introduce myself. My name is Kinley Zam, daughter of Namgay and Dorji. My mother Dorji has now retired, so I've taken over her work, mainly helping with office administration and logistics.

Growing up, I was closely involved with the Chorten Nebu project and the girls too program. I saw firsthand what a beautiful and meaningful initiative it was- one that you, Namgay and Dorji brought to life together with such dedication.

Now, the main reason I'm writing to you today is to share an exciting new project that really touched my heart - The Little Nuns of Paro.

Namgay and I recently visited a small nunnery in Paro, where we met around 25 young nuns, including 9 little girls aged between 3 to 5. Most of these girls are orphans or come from single-parent homes. They became nuns at a very young age - not by choice, but due to life circumstances. It was emotional to see such young children in these conditions, but we were also relieved to see that they are safe, well-fed, and cared for by a very kind and devoted head nun.

We've already started supporting them with nearly US $6,000, which has helped cover their food for the next two years and fix their water supply, so they now have access to clean drinking water. Since the little nuns were so eager to learn English, we also provided books, stationery, study tables, and other learning materials to support their education.
